Self‐Harm Expert Presents at Boulder Valley School District Professional Development Day
Provides Practical Solutions to School Counselors, Psychologists & Social Workers on Self‐Harm/Teen Suicide
BOULDER, COLORADO September, 19 2019 ‐ At the Boulder Valley School District Professional Day (BVSD), Christian T. Hill, M.A. presented to school counselors and social workers on the epidemic of self‐harm and teen suicide. Based on his seventeen (17) years of experience working closely with thousands of teenagers who engage in self‐harm, Mr. Hill shared perspectives from behind the scenes about self‐injury and teen suicide. Mr. Hill provided practical tools and the most up to date strategies to assist counselors in helping teenagers and youth recover from self‐harm. Elementary, Middle School and High School counselors in BVSD attended his presentation given at Monarch High School on Monday, September 16, 2019.
Mr. Hill, the Self‐Harm Expert, will be releasing a four‐part series of informative educational sessions available online in February 2020 providing an in‐depth look at why teenagers engage in self‐harm and address the teenage suicide epidemic. The objective of these educational sessions is providing counselors, educators and parents a thorough understanding self‐harm form the perspective of teenagers. These sessions will provide practical and tangible tools to help teenagers recover from self‐harm and at risk of suicide with resources leading to recovery.
